50 Things List Update

Just thought i'd better updaye on some of my 50 things, because over the last few weeks in between quitting my job and opening a business i did a few of the 50 things.......yay!!
Scott and i went down the coast for a romantic night away ( figured we wouldn't get the opportunity for a while after the shop purchase) and while we were there i covered a few things on the list.
We stayed at the holliday inn at surfers paradise on the 14th floor and had a really nice beach veiw (very romantic).
On the Saturday night we went to the casino for a seafood buffet dinner, which was just too yum, and the saw the stage show playing there,, The Merchants of Bollywood. I highly reccommend it, it was great. The costumes were just fabulous and so was the dancing.
I also got to cross off the Carrara Markets as we then spent the Sunday walking around there and doing some shopping. I has been years since i have been there and they were great.

So thats a bit of an update to see where i am........half the yr is over and i think i'm running a little behind track but hey.............i bought a shop!!!!!!!! that wasn't on the list! lol.

Last night i had a 6 till midnight crop at the store for my birthday, it was really great. Becka came along with her non scrapping sister Cassey and Virginia came and i had some Fabulous customers who all helped to share the yummy food and drink we had for my birthday and to scrap the night away.........which is exactly what we did, we ate krispy kreame donuts, chocolate pudding, rice pudding and we drank some champagne and before we knew it it was 2.30 in the morning. What a great night.

Well thats me for now............alway follows your dream- and your gut!!!!! lol

The worst Blogger!!!!!!

Ok i think i must be one of the worst bloggers eva!!!! (well maybe not the worst but certainly i must be up there with them...lol)
I won't make excuses...i have been busy with the opening of my new store and such......but i have also just been slack!

I would like to take this opportunity though to thank all my friends from the bottom of my heart who helped me to get things up and running for my store, with out Virginia, Anne, Alita and her hubby Graeme and not to forget my mum, aunty Elly and most importantly my fantastic husband Scott and my 3 very understanding girls Emily, Gabby and Chelsea, it just wouldn't have happened. Their support through everything has been just amazing and i love them all for their belief in me.
Thanks also to Tracey who did own the store, she has also been such a huge help especially once i opened and had web nightmares (yes it gave me nightmares!! lol), i really appreciate it.
And finally i would like to thank everyone else who has supported me and encouraged me. It really is suprising where support comes from, some comes from places you never knew it would!
So more thank you's lol.......thanks to Tanya from scrapbooking realm for your kind words and support, June, who owned the house of scrapbooking, Alita (yes another mention) who came up from her store Scrap a While in Taree to help with the opening and do make and takes for my customers and the others girls from Vicky Point who have supported me in the move from their once home down there to what will hopefully become their new home.
I hope i have mentioned and thanked everyone and sorry if i have missed anyone.
But also a BIG thank you to all the customers who have come in so far and made me feel so welcome............i hope my shop will always make you feel welcome.

So now the PLUG........lol
The store is ONE STOP SCRAPPING and i'm at shop 2/106 Birkdale road, Birkdale qld.
I also have a web site/online store at www.onestopscrapping.com.au . I have classes and cropnights and hopefully a lot of fun.
We had our first midnight and beyond scrap last Friday night and it was really great. So hopefully there will be many many more to come.

Ok so thats my update.......busy busy trying to find my feet with my new business and hopefully i'm not doing to bad a job lol.

I will absolutly get some pics up this week (i know i know i keep saying that) but this time i will.
So eyes open for that.
