What a week...what a weekend!!!!

OMG......what a week and what a HUGE weekend. I had all good intentions this week to get all the picks up on here of the classes i did at s.i.a but have just had so much on that i haven't had a chance.
My week was flat out one at work, as i am still down in staff and only on limited hours myself at work there just seems to be a 1000 things to do everyday and just not enough time to do it....but i suppose that's life!!!!!! and to make it even more of a hectic week in the 4 working days i had, we did a stocktake at work....i had to get photos done for swig this weekend (and we'll get to that in a minute) i had layouts to do for scrap a while....i had to pack all my scrapcrap for 3 days away and we all know how hard that is!!!!!!!!! whatever you decide you won't take cause you won't need it will be the one thing you really do need to finish that perfect page!!! always happens.
So needless to say, thank goodness it was only a short week.
Now the weekend!!
Such a huge weekend.....so many things happening, so many things on.
My weekend began on the Friday with Riss and i packing up the car to head on up to Kallanger to the Scrapheaps s.w.i.g weekend. 3 whole days of uninterupted scrapping.......my idea of heaven....lol.
This was Riss's first scrapbook retreat and the 2 of us had a ball. The retreat was held at the Fredrick Marsden Centre at Kallanger on the north side of Brisbane. I must say of all the retreats i have been on this was a standout of one of the best. The man who runs the centre, Alistare, was fantastic, the food was great and we were all looked after really well.
I actually got quite a bit of scrapping done, which is a suprise in itself as i usually spend the first day and a half yapping, catching up with people who i haven't seen for a while and procrastinating over what i am going to do.........,.but i think that's about the norm for a retreat! lol. and so is the lack of sleep!! I can honestly say i have not laughed so much and so hard as i did this weekend. There was the fantastic comic relief of the extrordinarily funny Bev Watt that kept the whole place in stitches continually over the 3 days.....that lady has soooo missed her calling...she should do stand up...she is just so entertaining and made everyone, both regulars to the swig retreats and the swig virgins, feel at home and comfortable.
And then there were the other jokes like the possom head....vampire moths...and the vampire moths with the toad legs....all keeping Riss and i laughing hystericly in bed for hours...(3am to be exact!)
Christine and Beryl had a great turnout for this swig and as usual they put on a wonderful retreat with some workshops, challenges, give aways......we all love give aways!!...a bucket full of laughs and of course the most important thing........3 days of no husbands, no kids, and NO HOUSE WORK!!! YAY!!! lol.
So.....tomorrow when i get home from work i will organise myself and get my s.i.a and my swig projects all together and get them loaded up by mid week.
BIG BROTHER IS BACK......another big YAY....i did have tickets to go to the launch show this evening with Virginia but i had something else come up that i couldn't get out of, so....now i am just like everyone else and will have to wait until tomorrow night to see the housemates go into the house on the t.v. Mind you, i have got a lunch date with Virginia tomorrow so i have every intention of getting as much goss from her as possible!! lol
And a good thing BB is back otherwise what would i watch on sundays now that dance is over??
So sad dance is over but soooooo happy Jack won..YAY....i really was happy when Jack won, great to see a Brissy boy winning, i also really loved Reece and Kate, and i suppose the American version will be back again soon anyway so i'll have plenty to watch and BB evictions to go to.
Foots really playing up at the moment, blew up like a balloon this weekend, don't know why i spent most of the weekend on my butt scrapping...???? well off to the doctors again this week, maybe he can shed a little light on it. So i have spent the night with my foot elevated up high and me on my butt......thank god sunday night t.v. is good and that i have a laptop!! lol.

scrap room

Well it's finally done and i have been busy scrapping in it.......yes i am talking about my scraproom. The room has always been my scraproom but i had to share it with the kids and a pool table and the office, now the kids stuff is all gone into their new toyroom and even though i am yet to find a new owner for our pool table (yes it needs a new owner and home if anyone wants to come and remove it!!!!) i have moved it all the way across the room (which was a definate feat in itself) so that at least now it is flush against the wall and mostly out of my way. But overall i can live with that..........at least for now....lol.

I have also re organised my stuff so i can find it alot easier.....now i don't spend half my scrapping time looking for things!!!!!!

Isn't it looking great!!!!! I am soooo pleased with the results and now it is easy when Riss or Bec come over to scrap with me as we have plenty of room........and i have plenty of scrap crap!! lol.

I also purchased recently one of the new storage boxes from creative options, it's the one that looks like the tool box, but can i tell you.......I LOVE IT!!!!!......it is sooooo perfect for all my mm paints and my inks, i just love it......can u tell i love it...lol.

See.......doesn't it look great???? and it fits so many of the paints....36 in the bottom compartment to be exact...i also have 45 versa mark inks, 25 dew drop inks, 6 colour box inks, a half a dozen foam paint applicators, some brushes some glitter glaze and i still have some space for more!!!!!!! have i said how much i love it????? lol thats right i did.

Just a quick update

Well haven't i been a bit slack??? A while since my last post but i have been extremely busy the last few weeks. I'm now finally back at work, not full time yet as the foot is still not 100%, but back all the same. It seems to be taking forever for it to heal, so note to self, don't go falling off ladders......you can't fly...and you certainly don't bounce!!!!!!
I have also been flat out trying to get myself re organised in my new scraproom, yes finally i have got myself into gear and sorted the big mess out and i must say i am loving the finished product. I have also re organised alot of my storage in the room and the ease of finding things now is soooooo much better. I will get some pic taken this week and put them up as i am very proud of the results.....and all my hard work!!! lol
I have also just come back from 2 days down in Sydney where i attended SAI. It was really great, i loved the workshops i attended, and came home full of fabulous ideas and inspiration. It was also great to catch up with friends who i don't see very often and to make some new ones. I had a great time finally getting together with Alita and Stacey from our Scrap a while team, and now am able to put faces to names.
Well thats about it for my catch up on main events....lol......will post again a bit more in detail later this week with some pics.
