This week has been a big week of ups....and downs.....
The up.... I got a phone call this week from Nikki from Finishing Touch Ideas and she asked me if i would like to do some design team work for her...woohoo!!! I was very honoured to be asked and look forward to getting my teeth stuck into that!!
I also arranged with Alita at scrap a while for me to go down to Taree in July to do some classes with the lovely ladies who go to the store, so i am very much looking forward to that too.
On the downs......foot just doesn't seem to be healing.. i think we are up to about week 18 now, so my doc is sending me to see a specialist (again) and hopefully he can shed some light on what is happening with it.......it is becomeing very frustrating!!!!!!
And this is an up and a down.......i have decided i would really love to buy my own scrapbook shop. It is something i have wanted to do for a couple of years but have been a bit scared to go and take the plunge........i now think i am ready to jump into the sea of unknown and do it!!!!
So watch this space.............i have had a look at a couple and hopefully in the near future i will be my own boss and doing something i feel very passionatly about.
So it's been quite an emotional week....with deciding what to do about buying a shop, and also very stressful!!........but hopefully it will all work out fine.
Now in amongst all that i have even got some scrapping done...YAY.....not that too much stops me from that!!
I did this one and one last week using the same papers so i thought with the scraps i would do some cards.......always a good way to use up the bits, my problem is i forget to give them to people when birthdays etc come!!!!!!
And for a change this week, i didn't do a layout of Chelsea at all.....yes you heard right!!!! This week it seemed to be a Gabby layoutathon and myself and Scott. (Emily seemed to get a few the other week!!!!lol)
Also this week....and totally not about scrapping at all......i went with the girls from Carindale, down to Muwillumbah to visit our mate Sandra....which was a fabulous day....but the highlight of the day was our visit to this beautiful little cafe/gift shop at Tumbulgum called House of Gabriel.
The couple who run the place are just soooo friendly and the food is to die for (and so is the veiw while you are having your lunch) We had been there before, last time we visited Sandra, but i really thought they deserved a mention and if you are ever down that way or going past they are worth the detour.

Happy Mothers Day

Well what another big week........seems to be the way for me at the moment.

This week saw may baby, Chelsea, turn 7!!! OMG where has the time gone!!. We didn't do much for her birthday this year, no party as i won't let them have one every year, it would cost me a fortune x3!!!! so we let her choose where she wanted to go for dinner, and of course to no surprise she chose the Taste of Texas at Cleveland where her all time favorite meal is the tortilla soup........Chelsea is a soup lover!!!!. She got a few Bratz dolls and of course another pony (a toy one of course) to add to her HUGE collection!!
Also this week on Saturday night, Scrap a while held it's first ever cybercrop and it was a blast!!
Took a bit for me to get the hang of the whole thing.....the multiple windows open on my computer, the conversation in the chat room, the conversation at my house with Riss, kids running around, music playing and then of course the actual scrapping itself......but after the first hour or so i got into the groove and it was a really fab night. Alita did a great job with challenges which are now uploaded onto the gallery and bingo and a quizz....there were prizes and even a race at the end (wasn't sure what that was about??? but Virginia was racing some one or something!!!) but overall i think a very successfull night and i can't wait for the next one.
Here are the pics of the finished challenges done by me.

This was the first challenge which was............Scrap a family photo and in the layout you must use a heart and something that is non scrapping..................
My non scrapping item is the flower...it is an actual flower from my wedding flowers.

Challenge no 2 was to do a layout from a sketch Alita put up....here is my finished layout.

And challenge no 3 was to use one of the quotes that Alita had put up on the cybercrop.
I chose the quote.....A Laugh is a Smile that Bursts.
I also got some other scrapping done this week to get my 100 down....lol.

And then lastly to day was Mothers Day. I had a great one......hope everybody else did too.
My day started with me ge
tting my pressie from my girls.......I got a yummy bag of chockies from Darrel Lea, a very soft and warm dressing gown and fuzzy pink spotty slipper boots...and of course the great school mothers day stall pressies.......a massager, soap and a glass bowl. I am a very loved mummy!!.
We then all went down to Cafe Aribica, my fav place for brunch, where we met up with my mum, Scotts mum, and both of Scotts brothers and my Brother Adam with Tracey and Oden for a very yummy mothers day Brunch.
The rest of the arvo i have spent scrapping!!! what better mothers day could i have asked for.
I know.........to not have to go to work 2morrow????? lol.

Got to Love a long weekend

Don't you just love long weekends?? I do, and i think we should have one every month!! lol
So with the long week end here i have just gotten so much done (also helps that all my kids were away this weekend having sleep overs).
Firstly my week, really uneventful for a change! Went back to the doctors, foot is still the same so there is no change in my working hours........sick of having a sore foot though!.
Went to the stitches and craft show, was extremely disappointed, i didn't realise that there was NO scrapbooking there at all!!!!! Kaiser had a make and take stand but no products to purchase, there were a couple of stampers stalls and card makers and one scrapbooking stall...memories 2 remember...but that was it...so i went away spending no money and feeling very deflated!! maybe i should have looked at their website before going then i would have known there wasn't any scrapbooking stuff there!!!...but i'm sure that went i went last year there was!! don't know...but now i do know not to bother next time.
Wasn't a wasted trip to southbank though as after the stitches and craft show Scott (yes i took him to the craft show!!!lol) and i walked across to southbank and had a lovely lunch and had a look at the beautiful displays they had there to celebrate the birth day of Budda. I was annoyed as i hadn't taken my camera but then again i didn't know i would be going to southbank!!.
A big shame as the displays were so beautifully colourful and would have made a great scrapbook page.
I have also finally got my latest layouts, projects from sia and swig up here on my blog YAYYYY!!.
So i suppose firstly i will do SIA things....

This was a fantastic class done by Jen Hall for Scrapping Clearly using different media in a small mini book. We used the acrylic, playing cards and cardstock.....it was great. I really loved the finished product, i used pixiphotos of my girls on mine. I had never met Jen Hall before, i really enjoyed her class.

This was another multi-media off the page book i did (i haven't finished it yet but thought i'd pop it up anyway) This one was done by scrapware, using products from them, craft queen, adicted to craft and green tara and Kim Arnold took the class. This was another class i thoughly enjoyed, the media used in the book was acrylic, chipboard and wood and the embellishment used were just beautiful.
I love these 2 pages!!!!! This was a class using the absolutly beautiful papers and embellishments by Delish...........the tutor for the class was Lynette Carroll who i found very interesting and i really thought i came away from this class with alot of ideas and knowledge i didn't have before.
This page was done using Cherryarte products. Unfortunatly i can't remember the name of the tutor who did this class, but it was an enjoyable and i love the end result.
I also did a mum book class with Ngaire Bartlam which was fabulous....(haven't quite finished it yet so will put it up once it's done).
And now here are the layouts and otp things i have done in the last few weeks.
This a cute little calandar i did at swig.....
And then there is the circle mum mini book i did for scrap a while
And then lastly my home........i love this.
