Another Year another attempt at Blogging

Lol ,....... yes it has been over a year since i last posted here on my lonely blog but in defence i have always stated i was the worst blogger ever and also it has been a full on year. You would think with all the things that have happened in the last 12 months that i would have tonnes of stuff to blog about and i have, but with all that has happened i just kept forgetting!!!!!
SO....lets try it again shall we....lol

Suppose i need a run down now of the last 12 months.........mmmm here it goes in a condenced version.

Last May saw me do my first craft and scrapbooking show in Toowoomba which was such a blast. We followed it closely by doing the June long weekend scrapbooking and papercraft expo at the Brisbane convention centre which was just a whole lot of fun, especially thanks to the girls who helped me out and made it the fun time that it was. To top it off, at the Print Blocks function at the end of the show i won a Yudu from provo craft so to say i was excited is an understatement!!!! lol.

Next came August and the first birthday celerations of the store.....OMG how time flies.... and how i have grown, or should i say nearly outgrown my shop front!!

September followed and i had my very first retreat. What a massive job that was, but it was sooooooo much fun and i think all up i didn't get much more than about 8 hours sleep in total over the 3 days..lol. Needless to say it was very successful and i can't wait for this years!!

October.....my first ever trip to the United States! How exciting it was to take my 1st ever trip to Salt Lake City to visit Provo craft. I got to see snow too as it was the end of October, I even got to experience my first ever Halloween!!!! Best part is i got to scrap my 1st ever Halloween pages...lol

So then that brings us to this year.....2010.
And what better way to start the year but to go to the United States to my first ever CHA.
It was the most amazing experience, i finally got to meet people i chat to online, i got to see exciting and new products and companies which has made my store thrive and best of all i got to do inspiring classes and workshops with the most talented ladies.
Going to Cha has not only been the highlight of my year but the highlight of my scrapbooking life!

Of course going all that way and not going to Disneyland would be a sin so of course i also did that...lol, went to California Adventure, flew to Las Vegas and spent a few days there visiting the Grande Canyon (I even flew to the bottom of the canyon in a helicoptor) , then over to Florida to visit some friends and visit Universal Studios and go gator sighting on the everglades, then back to LA to do the tourist thing there.
After my mammoth trip i came home so inspired and energized, and with all the beautiful new stock and companies we now had it was time to expand and find a bigger shop.

So between doing the Toowoomba show again this year and the Brisbane show i moved into a brand new 300sqm store (my old one was 89sqm) and took on a partner....the very special and wonderful Lisa.

So that brings me to here and now..........i am at present back in the U.S as i have just attended my second CHA here in Chicago. I have met so many wonderful, fantastic and inspiring people and i know every day that i have this passion in my life i am blessed.

Now here it is, my attempt at trying to be a better blogger...lol.......wish me luck..hehe

I'm pretty sure i start nearly every post here with how bad a blogger i am!! So to keep with the norm, i am such a bad blogger i know!! lol
Well this weekend i did my very first craft show. It was at the Gold Coast convention centre. Well as learning curve it was for sure...........alot of time organising, packing etc and in a flash of 3 days it was over. Well we survived and i must say we had a great time. Thanks so so so so so so so so sooooo much to both Rach and Bev. Without the 2 of you this would not have been possible. Miss Rachybabe keeping me compay till the weeeeeee hours of the morning helping me pack stock etc and Bev for all her help, advise and her wonderful selling skills, and most of all guys for you friendship and support. You guys are legends and great friends. Also thanks to Moo, Virginia and mum, you guys were also a great help and made my life a little less stressfull in a big stress week.
Now, would i do it again??? Hell Yeah!!......we had alot of fun and loved meeting all the fab people we met over the weekend. Hopefully we will see some of these great ppl on my forum in the near future.
Next weekend we have the Wellington Point school fete and then maybe i will get back into some kind of routine, and maybe even get to scrap for more than and hour or so in aweek!!!! withdrawals!!!!!! lol

Well good to see the new year hasn't made me any better a blogger!!! lol

Heaps of things have been happening in the world of me, finally have my web site up and running again...YAY!!! now i just hope it keeps running.....everything crossed.

Things at the shop have been going well too, been busy and the classes have also been busy. The girls on my design team have been busy with the challenges and such on my web site so thats been great and a huge help.

At the end of this month i will be doing my 1st craft show......very nervous.....it will be at the Gold Coast convention centre the last weekend of the month. So lots to organise and do so that should keep me out of mischief for the rest of the month (not that i ever have time to get into mischief!!)

Been busy with trying to get some of my 50 things list done, my tattoo is done, just needs a small adjustment on the original butterfly, but all done. (yes it did hurt!!) My layout numbers are going well, and there are a few other things on the list i'm trying to tick off!! Hopefully this year i will get them ALL done.

Also was very pleased to learn i have been chosen to be on the Design Team for A Thousand Little Things.......very exciting. And i recieved my 1st DT pack the other day so will have that up as soon as it's done.

And this is my Tattoo.............I got the original blue one in the middle last yr after opening my store, she now needs to be redone to match my others!! lol.

So i am putting in my new 50 things for this year....and i am adding a photo album for this years layouts, trying to stay on top of this thing from the beginning lol.

At least with a blog i am in control!!!! I have had no end of dramas with my OSS site, from the web hosts (my old ones NOT my fab new ones) to the site dissapearing, forum up forum down, gallery up gallery down, you name it i think it has happened so i am a little over wen sites to say the least. Hopefully after this weekend the problems will be ironed out, fingers crossed.

Well here a more layouts i have done so far this year, i'm on a bit of a roll at the moment so reaching 100 should be in the bag by mid yr!!! lol

Tomorrow night we have a crop night at the shop, these have been a huge success and i enjoy these nights each week the most. It really is the only time i get any decent scrapping done and i really enjoy the company of the girls that attend.

A New Year....Another go at this Blog thing!!

Ok i failed miserably last year keeping my blog up to date, i have always said i was crap at it, but it's a new year and i have settled into my shop alot more so lets see if i do a better job this year.

I have done a new 50 thing to do list this year as i did last year, and hopefully i will get all of it completed this year. I did get a large majority done last year but my aim this year is to do them all. I made a good start to that by having a class at the shop where we all made a page, and another where we did a mini book , of our 50 things, so i have a few girls now to supposably keep me on track!!.

Hopefully they will keep me updating here as well!! lol

The store is going great. I am loving it soooo much and i am sooooo glad i made the decition to do it. I have made heaps of friends and have such great customers which makes everyday a pleasure to go to work.

The computer and web site have been a huge headache but i am slowly sorting all that out and it has been a massive learning curb.

I have got a great design team to help me and so that has made a massive difference to me being organised.

I have had a great start to my scrapping this year doing a fair few layouts already.

Heres a few i have done and uploaded, i will be making a BIG effort to get them all up this year!.

So i will do some more 2morrow night too.
